• Roles and responsibilities:
o Server install / upgrade / decom
o Network patching - copper and fibre - including testing of channels
o Network hardware install / upgrade / decom
o Network hardware break-fix
o Media handling - loading/ejecting backup tapes
o Disk wiping - using Blancco to wipe data from server/storage disks
o Store management - including goods receipting/shipping/receiving and stock list management
o Visitor escorting - meet and escort during visits into data halls and ensure they (the visitors) do not break any DC Rules.
o Inventory updates - most of the above activities involve the updating of tools and inventories.
